27th January - 29th January 2015
Thank you to all attendees of the European Unconventional Gas Summit which took place in Vienna, from 28 to 30 January and attracted 100 senior level representatives from the unconventional gas industry including representatives from operators, governments, NGOs and industry experts.
The 2014 European Unconventional Gas Summit tackled all the critical issues – from community engagement, PR best practice, reducing risk, government regulations and identifying shale gas potential across Europe.
Whilst discussions inside the conference room generated value for the European shale gas industry, the many formal and informal networking opportunities have proved to be instrumental for attendees wanting to continue discussions, meet new contacts, reinforce already established relationships and sometimes even reuniting old connections.
I thank you for your contribution in making the 4th European Unconventional Gas Summit such an enriching and fruitful exchange!
Thanking our partners
We would like to thank once again our Sponsors for their support and also thank you to all our speakers for their time, effort and energy in helping to put together the most topical and interesting agenda providing the platform to shape the future of the European shale gas industry. Their hard work meant our programme was cutting edge, presentations dynamic and informative, and the opportunity to analyse and assess the main challenges that operators face in today’s environment.

“RiiЯ (Risk to Reputation) monitors and analyses risks to reputation - in a recent study of leading CEO’s by Deloitte, this was seen as the single most important threat facing companies. The increasing dangers of failure to meet regulatory requirements, the growing influence of pressure groups, rising stakeholder expectations and advances in communications technology have all contributed.
RiiЯ helps firms in two specific areas: We anticipate risks to reputation by developing enhanced Listening Posts throughout a firm’s stakeholder ecosystem; this enables the firm to be better armed to mitigate threats by taking targeted action to meet stakeholder expectations, prior to problems developing into crises. We also help firms significantly improve risk mapping by bringing the stakeholder perception of risk into the firm’s thinking.
The RiiЯ model and approach has been developed by a team of the world’s most respected risk management academics, coupled with leading reputation experts. It is a very practical service, which will help managements achieve their goals with greater serenity.
