Big Gas Debate 2016

Following the success of the last 2 years' Big Gas Debate in London, The Energy Exchange and Hogan Lovells are hosting the third edition of the debate and networking reception on Wednesday 15th June.

How does it work?

Based on the Oxford-Style format, after a five minute introduction from the moderator, each panellist will present a ten-minute opening statement either proposing or opposing the motion. This will be followed by 20 minutes of questions from the audience and inter-panel challenges. To conclude, each panellist will deliver a five-minute closing argument followed by an audience vote.

Prof. Jonathan Stern, Chairman, Natural Gas Research Programme, Senior Research Fellow, Oxford Institute for Energy Studies will be moderating the Debate.

The debate will take place once again in Hogan Lovells' Auditorium in central London from 5:30.

A networking reception with over 150 of your gas industry peers will take place from 7:00 on hogan Lovells’ roof top terrace

Timings for the event are:
17:30     Registration and pre-debate vote submission
18:00     Motions put forward and opposed
19:05     Submission of the final vote and networking reception
